Do you have dull pain the back side of your jaw, teeth or gums lately?
Is this pain comes occasionally?
Are you in your late teens?
Congratulations! You are growing up and getting wiser.
WHY WISDOM TOOTH HURTS?
When you have your last molar pooping out between 17 to 25 years and don’t have enough room for it.
When there is insufficient window for 3rd molar, rest of your teeth asking to fit in 3rd molar, and still not getting space, everyone get crowded.
Gums above the erupting tooth gets inflamed or infected due to accumulation of food or debris.
This is the time usually everyone start complaining the pain.
IF YOU DON’T GET IT REMOVED
Crowding of teeth- When there is insufficient window for 3rd molar to erupt, it pushes the other teeth in order to erupt. This creates crowding in the rest of your teeth especially lower teeth. You may have to go for orthodontic treatment later on.
Infection in adjacent teeth- Wisdom teeth constantly pushes 2nd molar when it is struggling to erupt. This may cause increase risk of infection in that area.
Caries – it is difficult to every time clean the bottom of the bottle. Similarly, it is difficult to clean an erupting last molar. An erupting tooth has got highest chances of decay than any other teeth. A long standing partial impacted tooth is usually carious.
Inflamed gums-when a tooth is erupting through the gums and there isn’t enough room for the tooth, causes infection and inflammation of gums. We call it “Pericornitis”.
Cyst or tumor-though it is rare.
